Bix Lives!
The FINEST music and rendition, but...

Standard vinyl is too pliable. While a quiet and a high resolution surface, pure vinyl is NOT suitable for the 78 RPM speed (the increased bandwidth and decreased wow and flutter are exciting. 45 RPM should have been the speed for ALL vinyl records since 1948).
However, vinyl is subject to slight warps that the 78 RPM speed amplifies.
I'd like to buy digital copy - CD or HD download.
The fine art is wonderful, but the music is central to me. Bryan Write's playing is flawless.

Truly a Rarity!

Being a pianist myself, I couldn't resist purchasing this set of records; and I regret absolutely nothing upon listening to them! If the cover art doesn't attract you already, then the music certainly will! Never thought I'd be able to hear a 78rpm piano record in this era, but alas! I have no doubt that this set will one day come to be a rarity among collectors......and I'll be able to say that I have it! Absolutely wonderful job, Mr. Wright, capturing the many talents of Bix!
